Yea I'm not too familiar with mixing through monitors...I have been spoiled I guess. Gonna look into it though...if I'm to start sending demos to clubs and talking to promoters.

yeah thats what i had to do. turn a knob to select the channel i get in my phones i couldnt get more than one channel at a time. then id flip the switch to hear the master and hear how the mix sounds

when i didn't get gigs, i cared.
when i had never touched a deck, i cared.
your mixing should be THE BEST you can make it. i'll agree that a fuck-up here or there is not such a big deal, but it's not like NO one cares either. and it may sound pointless, but if anything, do it for yourself.
People are up on what's a good mix and what's bad mix and they really notice if it's even slightly off!
