His real name is actually Mathias Paul, but well... Paul van Dyk just sounds better than Mathias Paul.
Same thing with Sander van Doorn. His real name is Sander Ketelaars, but hey... Sander van Doorn also sounds better than Sander Ketelaars... Easier to pronounce for most of the ppl, and it sounds also better..
I guess DJs with a "van" in their name mainly add it to their name because they want their name to sound better/"cooler". Except Armin of course, whose real name is Armin van Buren
