I agree with the overuse/abuse of EQs. I'd rate my use of them as minimal as well, it all depends on what I am hearing in the headphones as far as what sounds to me like a good balance. There have been times where I needed to use no EQs at all.
Its definitely something that boils down to style and while there are basics involved with DJing, there's no exact science behind the art. 0.02
