Oh please, not that horseshit propaganda again. MAJORITY OF THE NON-WESTERN WORLD WAS NEVER DIVIDED INTO NATION STATES AND THE BORDERS WERE DRAWN UP BY BRITISH, SPANISH, AND FRENCH COLONISTS! I GUESS THE ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD IS THE POPERTY OF THREE STATES THEN?!?! THE JEWS WERE EXILED BY THE BYZANTINIANS AND ROMANS, NOT THE ARAB WHO'D ALWAYS BEEN IN THE REGION HISTORICALLY KNOWN AS ISRAEL/PALESTINE, BEFORE AND AFTER THE JEWS WERE EXILED!
Oh, and great source there LOL . |
Merely criticizing a source of information is not a legitimate argument proving it false. I could laugh at the extremely bias Palestine.org, but I know there is some truth in what is written on that site.
The article I quoted states the following arguments:
1. The land of Israel was originally occupied by Philistines. Philistines and Palestinians are not the same people. There are no Philistines alive today. Therefore, the oldest people to claim Israel as an ancestoral homeland are the Jews.
2. Palestinians have never governed themselves on this land until Arafat (who was Egyptian). This argument is not limiting itself to the post-colonization by Europeans, but dating back forever. I know your little map only goes back to 1946, but try digging further back in history. If the article is wrong, who were the kings / rulers of Palestine?
Lastly, I'll end with a fact embraced by Arabs. Arabs are descendants of Ishmael, son of Abraham, so they are all Hebrew.

2. Arafat was the child of two palestinian parents, he was born in Cairo but he was not Egyptian. Get your facts straight.
3. That's why it's called semitic. But that doesn't add to your other arguments.

Clearly there is disputed ownership here. The right thing to do would be to split the land down the middle, but that will never happen until Palestinians show they can be peaceful. Every time a suicide bomber or a rocket kills Israelis, the Palestinians dig their hole deeper. I'm saying this from the perspective of a Jew, I know this is how many Jews think. You might disagree with the logic here, but it is still the case. If Palestinians want 1/2 of Israel instead of the minute percentage they now posses, they need to be peaceful, simple as that. Even then it will take many years, maybe decades, to get that 1/2 of Israel, can they be that patient? Can they not resort to violence? I realize there are atrocities on both sides, but those must be ignored by people who want to progress forward. Not all Palestinians are suicide bombers, not all Israelis are racial profiling warmongers.
