I do use vinyl mode for effect on occasion as you can preform some cool tricks that aren't possible in CD mode. However I stay in CD mode at least 90% of the time.

+1

I've gotta say that I'm really surprised by the outcome of this poll. I thought that Vinyl Mode would win hands down - dont know why, just did.

The crazy thing is I've had me decks for over 12 months now and I haven't really given CDJ mode a try - maybe I should.

Other than for cueing, is there any other way CDJ mode is more accurate than Vinyl mode? I would have thought that the sides of the platter would act in exactly the same way.

This is exactly what I was thinking. How is cdj mode any more accurate when already beatmatched
I've only had my cdj's for 2 months... and rarely use cdj mode... maybe just to add an effect during a buildup when hitting the pause button, but even then it sounds amatuerish, but it's fun to fuck around

vinyl for cueing exclusively

i don't like the feel of the cdj1000 mk1 vinyl mode for nudging so if i need to do adjustments I do it in CDJ mode. or ride the pitch

really don't like stutter cueing - i don't think it changes accuracy because you still have to be accurate holding the button. with practice you can be equally as accurate dropping the beat in manually.
