wow. you assume that im saying wikipedia is 100% correct. i have found errors there but even if you take certain things out, what its explaining is EXACTLY what happens.

its not a fucking research paper for a cure on cancer. if you think its wrong go research it for yourself. i know for a fact that what that specific paragraph is explaining is correct as its basic electrical knowledge. i dont know about the displacement of air thing but the rest of the arching stuff is correct.

Yes, it's still safe to use the microwave. The only problem a fork causes is the aforementioned arcing (sp) and the possibility of a fire. It shouldn't have any other damaging effect on the microwave other than fire.

It doesn't matter what it's for. You should just get in the habit of quoting direct sources. It's kind of like remembering to wipe after a nice #2.

oh well, I watched my stupid neice put it in there and I saw it in there, and there were no sparks, so maybe its not a big deal.

The shaft of the fork was plastic, with like a metal fork head coming out of it, so maybe thats why its not as serious.
