i fucked mine up doing martial arts. not actually getting hit, but kicking too hard with bad technique (all that turning motion really hurts if it doesn't go right).

if you don't aggravate it it should be OK in about 4-5 days to a week. but my pain wasn't completely gone till like a week and a couple days.

you should really try and think what caused it. also, consider seeing a chiropractor.

yeah i ride mtn bikes and road bikes also.. i have a cushy seat on my mtn bike to absorb shock.. but on a road bike you use rock fucking hard saddles for good placement of the taint on the saddle for different grades.. climbs, flat, descents.

to counteract the rock fucking hard saddle you wear those awesomely sexy spandex shorts with the nice foam rubber pad on the ass/taint.

lol. they're padded for comfort when sitting, that doesn't mean a sudden stop & jolt into them hurts any less
