Still, they should have those here. Successfully hide the pregnancy for 9 months, then drop the baby off immediately after a sketchy back alley birth, exercise a few weeks, and no one's the wiser! |
That was a common practice in Christian countries until not long ago, actually. You'd leave the child at some kind of locker, ring a bell (or spin the locker's mechanism), and nuns would take care of the child. That way, you knew the child would be looked after in case you couldn't raise him/her. It's pretty much like trusting someone else who you believe will do a better job than you would...
... sure, not getting pregnant would be the perfect solution, but at least in this case you're still giving the child a chance of a better life, instead of killing it as if there were no other way.
