My only regret is we didn't 'farm oil' and then your nice little western democracies that you live in and make your nice little cloistered judgements on others from, might have actually given a stuff before the country went completely to hell, pulled out a pick and dug it to a whole new level of depravity.
I was only very young when I visited Iran, 2 years after the war with Iraq ended and my stepfather was working there as an engineer helping to rebuild parts of the infrastructure. There are good people living there but they just need to remove the extremists from power before they have a chance, otherwise they may as well stay in the middle ages.

And if Iran is a large, desert wasteland, it would seem they have plenty of area to set up solar and wind power stations. Both of those are both environmentally and internationally friendly.

Bottom line: Iran has alternatives to nuclear power that cold save everyone the trouble, including Iran.

That extremism merely arises from the Israeli Occupation and people fail to see this. They'll blame everything but the main freaking cause... Israel. As long as Israel is going to occupy arab land... conflict will always arise. Unless there's a miracle of "diplomacy" I don't see an end to this. Iran is the ONLY government in the Middle East that's standing upto the western pressure... Everyone usually just bends over and takes it up the butt.

Remember, one man's enemy is another's hero.

this isn't Israel's fault. Israel isn't going anywhere. It's the arabs own fault for not accepting the times and moving forward. they're stuck in the past, but thats what dogmatic religion does i guess.

Oh give it a rest already. Most of the problems in the Middle East aren't b/c of Israel. That's just an overused convient excuse.
Egypt is at peace with Israel and things seem to be pretty stable over there. Same goes for Jordan.
The problems in the Palestinian territories, while being two-sided, are in large part the result of different Palestinians factions.
The problems in Lebanon on the other hand are more about the fact that the Shiites in the South have a hard time co-existing with the Sunnis and Christian Arabs in central and northern Lebanon.
The problems in Algeria and Lybia have nothing to do with Israel.
The problems in Iraq have nothing to do with Israel, and you can bet your last dollar that the problems in Iran have nothing whatsoever to do with Israel.

Congratulations, you've bought all of the information that Fox fed you. Tell you what... goto al-jazeera.com, goto cnn.com and goto bbc.com and gulfnews.com ... forget about what you've read... have a clear objective mind and start reading the news regularly on these sites. Get an idea (from both sides, that is) of what the hell is ACTUALLY going on and then come talk to me. You obviously don't know how many people die in Palestine and Iraq on a daily basis... it's mass genocide.
