I can't listen to music when trying to sleep. I need peace and quiet or I become extremely nasty. In the past I have assaulted neighbours because of it (Don't get me wrong, I'm not proud of this). I am usually a very calm person but the one thing that makes the red mist cloud Nem's judgment is sleep depravation.

My brain just goes into overload listening to music and it increases my concentration to a level that I can't relax. I even have trouble having background music in a social setting as I will focus purely on that and not converse with people, even if it's chart stuff I have to imagine the creative process that went in to it. Heaven forbid that someone puts on a DJ mix. Then my brain snaps into overdrive listening to all the technicalities. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a snob and will appreciate something if it's pretty good. But play something bad and I'm in hell.

I guess you could say that I'm fanatical about music. The only way I can forget about it is if you give me 5 smarties and I'll be raving till the early hours listening to the best of the Punjabi Network. You seriously have to check out some of their drumming!!! Woaah!

i usually sleep in darkness and silence but whenever im round my girlfriends house, she usually has a bunch of ambient mixes on her laptop (it was my fault, i accidentally copied them over with my external hard drive) got her hooked since (she listens to punk rock and rubbish mostly)

if we really cant sleep and cant be arsed to have sex either, we usually play a game in which we say what comes to our mind on that particular part of the mix, though to her, all ambient sounds mellow and 'u feel like ur in a better place' so sheep and rivers is a generalisation to what she gets from it..

it makes us sleep either way, so im not really that bothered.

i sleep with my music on. usually just pop on to Di.fm or some etn.fm or even grroveradio. leave it there and in the morning back to listen to it!

i dont have problem going to sleep....it's just that i can't be awake without having a constant beat in the background: car, work, you name it...i even put speakers in my bathroom
