Easter, though its origins may be pagan, is a Christian holiday. Nobody knows the exact day of Jesus resurrection. Easter was chosen to serve as the day to celebrate the most important event in Christianity. So it is Christian.

I think I should point out here... there is no question that Jesus' execution happened on the Friday of the passover that year. The scripture is very clear that this Jesus and his followers were celebrating passover on the evening before (now known as Holy Thursday to Catholics) and he was executed the following day which was a Friday (clear as there are several references to it being the day of preperation and that the Jewish leaders wanted the bodies removed from the crosses prior to the Sabath). Given the above the date of easter celebrations cannot be argued to have been chosen for any other reason then scripture states it is the correct time.

As for the secular traditions of eggs and bunnies, they likely are inspired by pegan traditions, however, it should be expected that as people abandon prior belief systems in favour of new ones they will likely retain some of their prior traditions.... just like many athiests celebrate Christmas in every way that Christians do only without the church part.... so here you have a group of non-religious people celebrating a secular holiday based on a religious holiday that incorporates the traditions of several other religions.
