Is there any reason why you should be making more? You're working at mcdonald's, doing the lowest of the lowest of all jobs. You're one hundred percent expendable. Why would they pay you more when they can just replace you with someone who won't complain?
Yeah, it sucks, but everyone has to go through that phase. You work for crap for a while, but then you have a little experience, and that increases your value as an employee. McD's isn't a job you work at to make money, it's a job you work at to be able to write on your resume that you worked at mcdonald's.
My first job was 3 months at a gas station working for minimum wage (7.45 at the time). Then I worked in a laser tag for 8 months or so (7.75), then worked in retail for a month (8.50), then a computer store (9.50)... you get the point. Just have patience.
