Yes, the technology has becomes so advanced now that they have some that you can leave in for up to 5 years. I am considering getting one and I am going to talk to my dr about more it. There are many different types to choose from. They are small and implanted a bit past the cervix. Supposedly they are safe and will not fall out or become moved during intercourse. I was scared about that, like what if you are pounding someone really hard and it stabs you somewhere...the dr said it wouldnt happen. Most insurance will cover it partially but then you may still have to pay something out of pocket unless you can work out a deal with the dr.

my friend has one and she loves it. they also have ones that can stay in for 10yrs. they don't fall out. you don't notice it.

my first gf took the pill and she got fat because of all those hormones. Just use condoms i dont see the big deal..

Yea I beleive the copper ones can stay in longer than 5. The only disadvantages I hear about are that it can make your period heavier and more painful.

hmm i was actually thinking of getting back on the pill. i haven't been on it in ages because i didn't really like the idea of it and i would always forget to take it too.

doesn't the pill help with things like clearing up skin and all that?

Im not crying about it My period is fine but its the biggest complaint for most after getting and IUD.

Besides weight gain...if you smoke while on the pill it can cause bloodclots, if the clot travels to your heart you are screwed.

Ortho tricyclene does, it helps with acne mostly. I am still skeptical about the yasmin brand that only makes you get your period like 3 times a year or something. I don't think that would be good for your health although it may have that advantage of convenience.
