as far as I thought/know - GSM are phones which use a SIM card and can be used with different providers, TDMA/Analog phones are phones which limit you only to your own provider, they are programmed to work with one only, and do not accept a SIM card |
Actually Virgin, Telus and Bell all run on CDMA.
Rogers used to run an Analog network using TDMA. But that is like 6 year old technology and older.
