If you set your profile so only friends, or friends of friends, can view it then you don't need to worry so much about the Gov't or employers being able to see your info.

The only thing I think is annoying about Facebook is if you get an invite and neither accept or reject and just leave it sitting there, all the group/event messages get sent to you any way. It should only send you the messages once you officially join/rsvp.

and btw, you can already post vids/pics etc from outside sources directly into your profile from sites that Facebook accepts. You can copy the bookmark-let from the info page about the feature into your bookmarks toolbar, and then whenever you are viewing a vid from YouTube for example, you can click it and embed it into your profile that way. I bet this new feature will be about the same, unlike the annoying MySpace 'blast my favorite bands track whenever you click my profile' way of handling it.

I would think all the 'producers' on this board would be excited to be able to upload their tracks for their friends to check out.

yeah that drives me insane, or also even if you reject an event it still gets put into your event calendar. lol fuck off

there's also an option of rejecting a request to add someone as your friend

yeah that I agree to, you'd have to remove it from events too, not just reject
