I'd say, perhaps, Iraq has the least amount of terrorism in all the world? Hmm?

My friend, you overlook a small but essential word - "had" not "has"

We made Iraq a terrorist (well, Islamist terrorist) haven, before the 2003 war, Islamists were about as welcome in Iraq as they were in Syria and Egypt!

Basically, a hell of a lot of good things let down horribly by the Iraq war...

Don't get me wrong I think he's a strong leader, but look at the number of fall guys he's had over the years, he basically ran out of them.

The lords reform I think will one of the big things he remembered for (ironically he might get charged for letting half of them in for cash too though... haha).

As you say though 100 years time he'll be remembered as a strong leader who could take the tough decisions (an important thing).

im glad he leaves , i cant stand him sorry guys

he always sounded so hypocrital to me , and a lot of clashes EU related with us , was because of his position

but i think he did some good things though like his position concerning northern ireland

He has done great things for this country like the minimum wage, establishing peace in Northern Ireland and taken us forward into the heart of the EU.

However, he will not be judged on any of the good things he's done for this country, instead, his legacy will be judged on his decision to take part in America's war in Iraq...

He was (and still is) a pretty good Fabian Socialist, too!

Oh yeah, and by that I mean him and probably the majority of his Labour Party, too!!

Bigger than my poodle - Bush pays tribute to outgoing UK PM

Bush in tribute to outgoing Blair

Mr Bush expressed the respect he holds for Tony Blair

US President George Bush has paid tribute to the "very talented" outgoing Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Mr Bush told the Sun newspaper that the description of Mr Blair as a poodle of the president was "silly ridicule".

The president's comments came on the eve of Mr Blair's departure from No 10 to make way for Gordon Brown.

Mr Bush said he had a "good meeting" with Mr Brown when he visited Washington, and that he "wasn't the image of the dour Scotsman at all".

'Same foxhole'

The president told the Sun: "Tony's had a great run and history will judge him kindly. He's a very talented man for whom I've got a great deal of respect."

Mr Bush added: "I've heard he's been called Bush's poodle. He's bigger than that.

"We are working together to achieve global peace in the face of enormous danger. This kind of thing is just silly ridicule and that's how I treat it."

He said they had served together during a time of war and "found each other in the same foxhole".

The president added: "Tony's great skill, and I wish I had it, is that he's very articulate. I wish I was a better speaker."

Mr Brown is set to become British prime minister on Wednesday when the Queen is expected to formally offer him the role, bringing to an end Mr Blair's 10 years in power.

A Very disgusting person, I'm happy that he leaves the office.

Northen Ireland... other peoples work alot again.... where was Peter Hain in the big party?

He's pulled us away from the EU by taking us into Iraq. Which of course will be his legacy.... the case for which has been proved to have been built on pillers of lies.

I'll admit he has been a strong leader but the case for the Iraq war was utter BS and was interntionally so.

Good leader as much as I hate saying apart from Iraq and the clowns he put incharge of that absolute joke we call the home office.

I don't actually mind being pulled away from the EU. The trade agreements are a massive positive but sometimes it feels like we're losing our identity.

What do you expect? The British Royal Family isn't really even British, it's German. The changed their surname from Saxe-Coburg-Gotha to the House of Windsor in 1917. You don't hear too many people talk about that, though.
