just to clarify, this was done on the computer. i was really adamant about making sure my next released mix was done live, but i couldn't be arsed to do it that way with all the other shit thats been going on lately. i'm not gonna make excuses, i just got lazy and fell behind but still really wanted to put something together with all the tunes i had been collecting lately.
thanks for listening and for the wonderful reviews. i've been meaning to reply to some of your individual posts all week but i've been swamped and haven't had the time.
Mathias - i lol'd at your comment about it being "feminine" because i'm always using the phrase "a bit girly" to describe my mixes to other people. you're one of the only people who has made a comment like that... and i dont take any offense to it because i think it's pretty accurate!

Right on yeah sorry to even bring it up I was just wondering. It doesn’t take anything away from the mix at all personally. It still shows your track selection, flow and taste in music and that is what counts most. If you could do the mix half as good live it would still be a very nice mix.

Ok cool because I was definitely a little worried about that. Some female DJ’s would possibly take that the wrong way. I personally think it is a good thing and its funny that you have used that as a way to describe your music. Its just so wierd because honestly If I popped in the mix and didn't know it was by you I swear I would have said the same thing. Good shit though for sure, ohh and my girl digs it a ton as well.

such a beautiful song. first heard this many years ago on danny howell's Renaissance cd
but this song reminds me of an onion. layer after layer, it just continues to reveal different melodies... awesome

I finally had a chance to give this a thorough listen and honestly Myra, its fucking sick! I loved it. It's getting some solid play on my mp3 player and likely will be for awhile.
Many cheers

Listened to this in the early morning hours last weekend and wondered aloud if there were pink cdjs and mixer involved, possibly with flowers or Hello Kitty?

I was thinking for on the lines of strawberry shortcake skinned CDJ's ... lol
Hey Myra what is the tracks with the guy vocals, like track number 4 or something. I normally cannot stand most vocals especially male ones but that track is pretty tight.

damnit Pork... now i'm hungry for a bloomin' onion or some onion peels! *drools*
i was really happy that i was able to fit that track in at the end though. i think it makes a perfect ender and it's been one of my favorite tracks for years. i had totally forgotten about it for a while though until Bobby played it at a little afterparty we had in Milwaukee a while ago.

that'd actually be pretty sick if i could get my CDJs coated with a pale metallic pink color! the only problem is that it would clash with Rob's red EFX-500, and since we're moving in together in a few months it's probably a good idea to make sure all our equipment stays coordinated.

that would be Elegia - To Become... Cause It's Better Than Remembering (Original Mix). i absolutely love the vocals in that track. gives me chills everytime.
and i must say you took a bit of a different direction with this mix. it has a progressive feeling and strives for depth but doesn't quite reach there with some of the selection - which is not a rip on it. in fact it gives it that summery feeling which you were striving for.
the impact of this whole thing for me was that song "i can give you what you want". afterwards it gets a bit more poppy and housy and got me moving... in my chair... but i can imagine if i was on the dancefloor the feeling would be the same and get me really going.
generally i felt a drop off towards the end of the set - energy wise. as a stand-alone promotional mix this hurt it - however if you were to continue on towards 2-3 hours it would work really well to give the people a breather.
