pretty crazy. there is no way that calf survived unless it received attention from humans after that. brutal.

Whats wrong with that. As long as we dont interfere with their normal course of action, i dont see anything wrong with watching them.

Observing animal behavior in their natural habitats to be one of the most fascinating things one could see. I did the whole Kenyan safari a few years back and wow, it was something else.

just because they are not physically touching the animals doesn't mean that they are not interfering. the gasoline fumes and their nasty human smells do enough damage.

i agree in terms of the lions. But that croc probably did a bit of structural damage to the calf's body during that tug of war. It looked like the crocs first grab was for the stomach too.

Infection is likely a non-issue. What would you get infected by from a lion or crocodile bite? Plus you can be damn sure that herd of buffalo will be licking the wounds of the calf.
