Its hard to imagine anything going on at goodlife downtown, I mean, the basement is depressing. I miss the days of Axis in the 1996-1998 timeframe. I dont think Avalon is as bad as you make it sound. All the names you mentioned make them money, and thats ok, some of those DJ are worth checking out. I loved Armin in march. Above and Beyond was a highlight in the past year too. It would have been cool if they made Axis into a more underground scene that you could switch too. I think it was hip hop the last time I went over there on fri. but since then I havent bothered. I wish there was something like Rise that wasnt afterhours. GU, your open party idea is cool Ive been hoping somebody in Beacon hill would start something like that on a prime roofdeck. Thats the way to kick it on a summer night in Boston!!!
Edit, I think we should take over the retarded rattlesnake roofdeck and make it an outdoor progressive party on friday starting early like at 5, trance on sat night, and reggae or something fun and chill on sun. |
roofdeck party on beacon hill? you have a better chance of seeing jesus lol - place is so stuck up its won ass!
anyways avalon was ok but i only caught the tail end of it ...when i moved to boston they still booked names like liebing and farina but now it just blows.... only big trance djs every once in a while . i am not bashing trance btw, it would just be nice if they switched it up.
Now i would much rather go to a smaller venu with a better crowd of people who are acctually there to enjoy the music, and honestly i bet if you asked anyone at avalon on a friday night who was playing , they would have no clue and that sucks.
