Wow, first Tiesto bashing, now PVD.... lol.
Well, I for one am not an avid PVD follower by any means, but I just saw him last night in DC and I have to say that it was a kick ass party from start to finish. Opening DJ's were awesome, and the 1000-1100 people crowd was totally up for it. How awesome it was to be at an EDM event in the very building where the rave scene started in DC back in '92?! Flashbacks galore! Paul went on at 12, and within the 1st 2 mins, I knew this set was gonna rock. At 12:30, they opened the stage up and his small barricaded area was then surrounded by a couple hundred fans. Paul was in rare form, actually enjoying himself, singing to the music, jumping around, reading text messages on phones even. I was shocked that he even agreed to such a stage set up. My biggest beef with Paul is how he repeats songs during his sets, especially the more commercial ones. None of that last night. The only tracks I could ID were "Nothing but You", "Crush" and "For an Angel" (? mix). Aside from 15 mins where there too many 'hands in the air' vocal tracks were played where I wanted things to move along already, no complaints.
A great night out. Can't wait for his return to TO.
