yeah your right education is the key ...but you putting america with 3rd world countries.... to be honest for a edvanced country as us is ...we have the one of the highest teenage pregnacy rate ...... we have have so damn many pregnant teens compared to europe..... France last year had the 10th of a percentage that us had for teen pregnancy rate and they considered it a national crisis .... to be honest us americans dont practice safe sex as much as we think... and european have as much sex as americans do ...but in europe the topic of sex is open to the younth and the youth becomes educated as if sex is a normal thing as it should be....in the states sex is still held back and thought as not normal to discuss about until u get older... even though sex education class are been taught more and more its still not taken serious enough ..... there are people in the world that dont know that facts.... there are ton of poeple that still think u cant get a girl pregnant when they are on there period .... there are still people who think u cant get a virgin pregant ... or get a std from oral sex, or know the facts about stds and pregnacy .....even though us is better off then most countrys the fact is compared to country in the same statur .. we are far behind countries in europe.... so then again mayb giving out condoms at school prom isnt such a bad thing after all

I agree, its pathetic... American kids have waaaay too much time to fuck around like that, we should do more sports or something, not to mention make sex NOT taboo.. shit.

umm price? condoms in America are freaking EXPENSIVE compared to Germany (2x the price!)

I know, this is a retarded point, but it counts. It may not be the major reason, but it adds to the effect. Plus in the US, if you go to CVS or wherever to buy condoms -i did- you get looked at REALLY weird by the 12 year old female cashier.. unlike Germany, where you usually get served by some 5x year old d00d3, that looks at you like it is the most normal thing in the world, or at least that he understands that you are freaking nervous...

here at university residence, the Don of our floor keeps 3 free condoms outside his door, and restocks every now and then, for those who want to get it on, but don't have the goods.

I must say it has come in handy a few times.

Worst that happened was one of them ended up on a salt shaker in our caf.
