Trance(2002) --> Happy Hardcore,Drum&Bass,Trance --> House,Trance(2004) -->
Techno,Trance,House --> Techno,Trance, with a little House on the side

trance has always been my love I guess I grew out of the raver thingy which over here was powered by DnB and Happy Hardcore so I stopped listening to that. Then I started clubbing so I got into House. I still love techno though. Timeline isn't exactly accurate though

Fixed to reflect my own "journey" without having to write it all out on my own!

And mine is also a very, very loose synopsis...

And I still listen to bits and pieces of all of them

Well, I started around 1998 with the popular shit that was on the radio like Alice Deejay, ATB, etc. (not to proud, but hey...it got me started! )

About 6 months into it, I discovered a CD that changed everything: Paul Oakenfold's Tranceport. After that I got into Oakie, Paul van Dyk, Sasha, and Tiesto. Listened to a lot of the music they produced and played at their gigs and some sets. After that, I started listening to more artists like Ferry Corsten, Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz, Carl Cox, Mauro Picotto, etc. Listened to that stuff for about 4 years and then I started discovering House and Prog House. Damn, I love this stuff so much now I hardly ever listen to trance anymore!

Now I'm into artists like Desyn Masiello, Rowan Blades, 16 Bit Lolita's, Eric Prydz, Luke Fair, Paolo Mojo, Danny Tenaglia, Max Graham, Hernan Cattaneo, Danny Howells, James Zabiela, Nic Fanciulli, Sander Kleinenberg, Satoshi Tomiie, etc.

Seems like this is pretty much the common path that everyone follows. LOL

92-95: Eurodance
Long hiatus
02-05: trance
05-07: house

I still listen to pretty much every genre of EDM, though nowadays I prefer progressive house the most, hard techno, deep house, funky house and trance running behind.

I won't get into it. I'll just mention I started to really get sick of trance just as nearly everyone else was getting into it. Fortunately for me, I discovered a whole world of EDM yet unexplored by my ears!

trance/tech trance - > twinkle prog trance - > prog trance - > prog house - > deep house - > tech house - > minimal tech house - > techno - > minimal techno - > downtempo - > ambient - > post rock

I listen to all of it, mainly the latter, but a bit of everything.

Getting into dubstep/grime.

First heard EDM back in 97-98:

Eurodance -> House -> Trance -> Hard House -> then Trance again -> Ambient/Chillout -> ....

...I can't see myself liking much modern EDM in the next year or so. I feel I'm growing out of it.
