a lotta people trashing drum n bass...yeah, a lot of it's really bad, but there's some stuff out there that's excellent (squarepusher, anyone?)

as for me, emo/goth/we're sad rock & anything that ends with -core.

Such an influential artist imo.

For me, its practically all hardstyles. Cannot stand it at all. Plus any rap music, not my thing, perhaps its a cultural thing.

Also any kind of music is totally ruined for me when theres someone doing MC rubbish over it. I hated it back in the days of rave parties and I still do, very much.

Within electronic music:

Hip-hop: I can appreciate old school raps, but I simply don't enjoy the slow beats. This is kind of borderline because once in a while I do hear something I like.

Hardstyle: Unless I'm feeling cheesy.

Hardhouse: See above.

Psytrance: Fucking awful kicks, fucking awful basslines, fucking awful overdone twisting sounds. It gives me a headache. I can't tolerate more than one psytrance track in a set. Goa however is different.

I generally can't stand genres where you take one idea and just take it to extremes. More often than not, the genre names seem to have either "hard" or "core" in there somewhere. Also, music without melody rarely appeals to me.

+5 to Rebel9! You've got quite the taste, m'lad.

I can't recall not liking any genre, 'cause I always spend a while exploring it, and I've always found something that I like. Things also grow on me over time.

I always said I could never dig into minimal techno/house or deep house...both of which I absolutely love and can appreciate now. However so far I just can't listen to Drum n Bass...to be honest it sounds like hip hop to me...I can't even take it seriously.

That said, happy hardcore and full-on psy I can't stand as well.

i cand find something i like in pretty much every genre.. i dislike most from these genres though...

donald duck hardstyle with silly vocals about death and torture
drugged happy hardcore with lyrics about happy pappy sapp
pointless full-on psy
high-nrg trance that sounds like regular asot, only pitched up with 15%

and an honourable mention goes out to disco house, or should i say 80s-sampling house, where they sample every sentence from every 80s song that's created. "waaaaalking in memphis [apply filter]" chugga chugga chugga....
