i remember back in november 2001 or so at a party he played the white label track back then know as funk einsatz - punk...can you say massive trance anthem? Yea...he was canning this tune with his buddy ferry corsten while the rest of the djs were like "punk who?"...timo maas has good taste in my opinion...his azzido da baas - dooms night remix is legendary as well

Everyone has a right to their own opinion. The fact that people are saying that Timo Maas sucks, thats their opinion, just like he's saying that trance sucks. So dont get all worked up about it, if everyone liked trance then we would be no different to the next person. Im guessing he's talking about all the cheesey shite that gets labelled "trance" and that's fair enough, cos it sucks.
I'm guessing that he likes trance, but more of the progressive sounds. Take a look at CD1 of Music for the Maases, Lustral - Everytime (Timo Maas Mix) goes into O - Fifteenth Letter of the Alphabet with Poseidon - Supertransonic. Three huge trancers (Lustral being more progressive tho) and my favourite moment on the CD.
He's a mad producer with his driving progressive sound. His recent stuff isnt like the older days - i use the term lightly - of Dirty Trancing, Music For the Maases and Connected but i still dig it.

AH! But Scooter has made lots of real trance tracks!
If you don't believe me:
-Scooter - Trancendental
-Scooter - Cubic
-Scooter - Chinese whispers
etc.
etc.
etc.
etc.
Got the point?

Timo Maas doesn't "produce"
Martin Buttrich, a close friend of Maas', does all the production work for him. Maas just adds the "creative influence"
Timo Maas never tried to hide anything from the public, though. In fact he mentions the name of his friend more than Buttrich would like. I've personally read about this story about a hundred times just last year

To me it sounds like the voice is saying
"You must make a choice"

the lyrics actually say:
"We must all make a choice........." I couldn't understand the rest. And Timo has put out some really great tracks and mixes. It's nothing I would consider trance, maybe progressive house, but at any rate, he's got some great releases under his name!
