On the downside, the paper stock the book is printed on is so poor the ink practically rubs off in your hands, and it comes with a CD -- which is just a bloody sampler for A Lively Mind!

It can be ordered from www.amazon.co.uk still isn't up yet on on amazon .com's main site, for you non-Brits out there (most of you )

Actually rather interesting content if you're telling the truth of it.

I am. Loads of great info about the old days, and in fact a lot of good non-Oakenfold info too -- for example, a comprehensive history of Cream and the Liverpool dance scene in general from the mid-80s on.

However, be warned that it is an extremely cheesy read at times, gushing about Oakey's brilliance and promoting his mix albums and such... take the good with the bad!

And no, no explanation why his trainwreck rate has been 3x higher than any other DJ's throughout his career

cool, will check it out if i ever get a chance.

i was wondering a couple of months ago, weather any of those big name dj's had released a book yet? it would definately be an interesting read.

i guess they will probally be another decade or two, when this first big name generation finally dies out, and they can chill out and sit down and put together a book
