I realize the fract that Arabia does not consist of Iran, however, when I was thinking about 'Arabian sounding' I assumed the thread starter was talking about anything that sounded remotely 'arabic' which, unfortunatly, is common these days with the confusion regarding the separation of Arab and Farisi culture, and more so, their respective musical styles.
If you listen to mainstream Arabic and mainstream Irani/Persian music, you will notice similar trends as far as the musical athmosphere as well as, or ever more importantly so, in the chord transitions.
Therefore, my reasoning behind recommending Niyaz under the 'Arabian songs' category. Although the JXL remix is not HEAVILY influenced by middle eastern sound, rather, middle eastern chord progrssions, and/ or instumentation, the song still does possess basic Arabic musical elements.
