If you're looking at getting equipment, i seriously recommend using craigslist to find some good used stuff. You can get great products at a reasonable price. Hell, at least half of my equipment I got off craigslist and it's all industry-standard top-shelf stuff.

Bling! You've made some fine choices my friend. I gotta ask though, how much of a pain is it to use Serato with the laptop in that location?
I'll try to post some pics of my setup tonight.

It's a pain... I need to buy a bracket to post the laptop above the decks, but I've been lazy. Also, I believe that would require me to push the table even further away from the wall it's up against, correct? I don't want to do that...

Yeah probably. Plus, those brackets are so expensive that it's almost worth it to just get a bigger desk / one with more levels. I'll post a pic of mine tonight or tomorrow.

Everyone else: drop me a PM or an email @ Dojomaster26 at gmail.com so we can get this going. I'm looking forward to some mixing once I get down to GA next week!
That setup is NICE, much nicer than my ghetto Ion mixer w/ CDJ-200s hooked up to it... (will post pics soon)

Stressing the 'rly
I've got a 500 atm.
I'd sell it for a fair market value. I've been tracking some sales on e-bay and they are averaging just over $600. Higher than you're looking for i assume?

If you're ever down to Savannah, hit me up. I learned from the guys that started the midwest rave scene in 1990/1991, and it only took me about 6 months before I was gigging at the big clubs in town and I opened for Marco V at a massive club with just under a year and a half on the decks!
I will warn ya though, if you learn from me you need to be prepared to face the ruler I will use to smack your hands should you ever try to touch the platter, spindle or record once you've thrown it in!

I take it you use the purely-pitch-control method of beatmatching? That's the way to go. Tough to conquer at first, but makes for much smoother mixing.

Wow, good for you dude! I need to go to the DJ Maytag school of promotion. I've been DJing for years, but I simply don't have time to promote myself adequately. I even signed with a management company about six months ago, but I don't think they have their sh*t together. I think Atlanta is a tough spot for DJ's in general. I know a lot of top-knotch DJ's who don't get nearly the exposure they deserve; at the same time, I know a lot DJ's with zero talent that are regulars at some of our top venues. (I guess that's the same in any music genre though.)
