i try to be extra considerate to one of my neighbors, since they just had a baby a few months back. when i used to work nights, i would have all day to bump... because everyone was gone. but now i moved to day shift, and there's a newborn next door... the old glory days are gone. =-(

the wall situation sucks... everyone hears everything... yet, when i used bump in the day, if my window was closed, you don't hear anything if you're standing at my front door down stairs... -my townhouse has two floors. but we can hear each other talking sometimes, or using the garbage disposal. a lot of the times i can make out the music my neigbors are listening to, in my room... but when i go to their place, it's obvious that's it's not "loud". and it's the same when they come over... but i don't blame them when they get tired of me jamming w/my set up for 4-5hours straight, and they hear everything almost as well as i do.

i was born in los angeles. my father is from cordoba argentina, and my mother is italian. so technically, i'm 1/2 1/2... but culturally, i'm 94.4% italian, and linguistally, i'm 86.7% italian. =-)

same here, i have had ex girlfriends from buenos aires. actually, i prefer to just roll w/girls who were born in argentina or italy. not girls who were born here. i want the full effect, the watered down, white washed version. if you know what i mean.

by the way, the yamaha reciever you have is supposed to be pretty good. if i were you, i would look into getting better speakers, rather than gettng powered monitors. i used to sell yamaha recievers, and denon, and stuff like that. i'm a big fan of what was available from yamaha (and denon) in the 1k range. they are way better than the recievers from sony, pioner, or jvc... i don't know how much you know about your reciever, but don't let the "low wattage" fool you. get some bigger, better speakers, and your yamaha will make them bump.

my cousing used to have some acoustic research speakers hooked up to his old denon reciever, and that combo sounded great. nice and clear. for the bedroom, definately get some nice (and probably larger) bookself speakers, or something like that, and use it in conjuction w/the sub.

right now, i'm using these old speakers that came w/an old stereo rack system, but these speakers are too big... it's way too bassy for my room. i have to cut the bass all the way on the reciever to get some kind of balance w/the music. -and no, none of the drivers are blown. i will be looking into picking up something around the size of my krk v8's w/8" woofers to hook up to my denon. probably some acoustic research speakers, or i may end up buying a kit or something, making my own.

This is the receiver I have. My DJM600 is hooked up to the CD input on the Yamaha receiver via RCA cables from the "Master Out 1" output on the DJM600. I see a "booth monitor" output on the back of the DJM600. Does one cable branch off from there and go to both monitors?

I'm an idiot, sorry.

I'm really hoping that I can continue to power a few speakers (including subwoofer) with the Yamaha receiver while also finding a way to get the Behringers hooked up.

u can power them but as i see the specification of that reciever witht the truth2031 ur not inneed for those speakers because in most i think they are enough to make huge sound i think the first way will work if u want to hock it up u can make the reciever and the small speakers in a way (connect them with one channel right/left on the mixer) another the reciever can hook more speakers but u can't hook ur truth 2031 because the revciever can tolerant 75w X2 and only one truth speaker is 110W ,i dunno but others says u can hook 100 watt speakers with 50 watt ampifier but i didn't try it before

Just took a better look at the back of my DJM 600 and found the XLR ports that I didn't see before. They're kind of under a ledge on the back of the mixer. So, there are two "master outs", so I should be able to power all speakers this way once I get the cables.
