I think there's going to be a lot of Daft Punk's this Halloween.
whats even more ironic about that is the company is located in a suburb of sacramento!

Wow. Once again, Daft Punk pisses on every show that came in between their Coachella set and last night.
I will admit though, Coachella was more exciting only because it was their first time playing in a while, and I had no idea that they would come out full force with their lights and stage. The crowd vibe was way more intense at Coachella as well.
BUT, that light ring around the stadium was awesome, and their encore...holy shit, that was cool, in their red Tron outfits. They didn't look real when they came out for their encore. Absolutley fucking mindlblowing.
For those of you who saw them, I'm sure you had a good time. For thosee that are going to see them, I'm sure you will as well.
HHHHHUUUUUUUMMMMMMAAAANNNNNNNN......Daft Punk FTMFW!!!
One of the amazing things about coachella was that there was a curtain in front of everything, no one had heard anything about anything, and it was just PACKED. I remember people leaving depeche mode and the other stages to come out and watch/listen to daft punk. 50k people for 1 tent.
I have to see these videos though.
// end robot.

I just found out the song is called "Television Rules the Nation". Wow, I was way off with the lyrics. It would have been pretty gay if the words were "Who's An Angel", lol.

Coachella > Last Night
They were good, but apart from the cool encore (which someone posted a full youtube of on my myspace before the concert), it was pretty much a stripped down and slightly re-arranged coachella set.
And Sebastian & Kavinsky played one of the worse DJ sets I have heard since Mark Tabernner used to open for Sasha. They had absolutely no flow, no context, and some of the worst mixing I've ever seen live. The few tracks they played which I liked were pretty much ALL Justice songs.
All in all, dissapointed. If it was your first time seeing them you probably had a blast, but I'm glad I got to see them at Coachella last year.

To be honest, I saw this coming. It's kind of like The Chemical Brothers or Rabbit in the Moon; fucking amazing the first time you see them, but their performances rarely ever change.
Suffice it to say, I've forced myself to have never listened to the Coachella set yet, and I haven't seen any videos of Daft Punks performance (it's like I've been living under a rock ). So, I'll have fun when they're in Seattle on Sunday.

Not only was alot of it recycled though, they stopped the music during the set like 4 times! It was like a Daft Punk mashup jukebox.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned anything about the Pyramid they did outside the Sports Arena with the skylights. That was the first thing I saw as soon as I got off the freeway.

Television Rules The Nation vs Crescendolls on the vid, if it hasn't been mentioned yet
I do agree that overall the Coachella set was better than this set; but some things were cool:
The lights all around the entire floor... was not expecting that at all.
When Crescendolls dropped during Televsion Rules the Nation, I went beyond crazy...
Everyone on the floor was one big sweaty mess. Everyone was really cool and our group had no issues with anyone on the floor.
Daft Punk lighted jackets.
Not as cool:
No lasers on the ceiling
The lights turned on during the S&K sets
One big sweaty mess
Stupid long-ass line for the indoor bathroom (thank god we found the port-o-potties outside)
The two people in our group that did not get floor tickets.
The people I went with that didn't see them at Coachella were blown away (as they should have been). I am regretting the night? Hell no, I had a great time. Being able to see them twice in two years is a treat.
Sebastian & Kavinsky were ok...some stuff to dance to, but I wasn't expecting any type of flow...just some stuff to pass the time.
Ratatat was boring. Some of the people I was with said they were like Sigur Ros; I was like, "Um, no way. Sigur Ros is awesome, these guys are just crap."
Ran into Clovis on the way to the smoking area before the show; we both were looking for groups but I think we both found them before DP started.
We went out to Fred62 for food and then came back and um, enjoyed stuff, till like 9am. None of us were in any shape to go anywhere else that night so we just chilled till the sun came up.
Would I have not gone? Hell no. Would I go see them again if they came back to LA? Hell yes.

Amen.
A lot of things sucked ass last night.
Just like the security , was I the only one that got to sneak down to the Floor from the general seats??
I lagged on getting tickets, so I bought just regular seating ones from ticket master a few days before the show (ticketmaster reissued like 300tix). I wasn't about to drop 100 bucks on a floor ticket when I knew I would/could sneak down to the floor, like I did
So I left my g/f and friends in the seats (they didn't think i was going to make it down) to meet up with friends from the floor.
All the performances prior to daft sucked. I don't know why, but I wasn't feeling them worth crap, like someone mentioned one of the dj's dropped a few dope tracks but that was it.
My main nitpick about the whole show was the actual show.
THE SET IS THE EXACT COPY OF COACHELA!
WTF!
The only difference is the ending, which is a only about 10mins (and is a copy of the Bercy set).
Also the lighting, it was all great for us that were on the floor and up against the front by the stage, but what about the people in the stands? up on top?? did you guys even get and effect???
So yeah the whole track listing was the same as Coachella and EXACTLY like Bercy, i have the Bercy set i can upload if someone wants it. But if you were waiting on a set rip of last night wait no more the Bercy set is the SAME.
NEXT issue...
The party was OVER and 12:30
Was I the only one that didn't know that? I was pissed as hell as soon as the lights turned on
The VIP after party there SUCKED, the room was packed and they were waiting on a DJ. I waited like 45 mins (still no dj) ate a few cookies then left because it was so boring
So yeah, no one made up there mind on a after party my g/f was pissed at me (she didn't want to follow me) so we called it a night and just came home to SD.
