No the recording isn't loud, but you can edit using an audio program.

There's an 1/8" input jack so that you can stick your headphones (if you have one of those) to monitor the recording (on plus version only)

no, i meant that the clicking isn't very loud at all so it's kinda impossible to hear if there's music playing.
anyway i have no experience on the device, i'm just stating what i read on some review.
