Only if it's a decent brand - a Pioneer/Vestax/A&H etc will hold most of their value for a few years, something like Behringer or Gemini will plummet in the first 12 months.

No way, 500's don't last that well and they are still not that cheap second hand. Go for a vestax - you can pick up a PCV 275 in mint condition for about £150 now. No FX but it is really solid.

no, ive seen tons on 500's almost ten years old been beat to shit in clubs and still working fine, and yes you can find them cheap on ebay

Yeah, but they probably get a servicing every 6 months.

I know clubs with A&Hs installed who have to send them off for repairs almost every couple of months!
