I've only had to work 3rd shift at one brief job, but it didn't agree with me very well. No matter how dark or quiet I got my room, my body simply refused to rest as well as it does at night. Some people I know love it, but I think I'd be an angry SOB if I had to do it for an extended period of time.

the thread title is a misnomer lol. Imma still a student. Was up all night sitting in my university office doing research. Got a paper submission deadline for next Wednesday I also have a meeting with my research advisor in the evening. So my "shift" won't get over until 4:00 PM today. Oh well.

I LOVE NIGHT SHIFT!!!

I work from 11pm - 7am, then workout from ~730-830, come home, eat an awesome breakfast, putz around for a bit, then sleep from noon until 8pm. wake up, eat dinner, shower, and go back to work.

it's the best schedule ever! on my days off, i either 1) go out all night; or 2) get shit done in the early mornings.

night shift is great because command staff isn't around....and when they come in, we leave. so we don't have to deal w/ that shit all day.

i get more sleep on this schedule than on days (7am-3pm).

i think it's just because i'm a night owl.
