I can second a "thumbs-up" for pssl. I got my turntable from them, and they had good service. The prices can be pretty good, especially on a sale, and you can get a free catalog sent to you from them, which is good for having a paper view of all of the mixers available, etc.

By the way, I would love to live in Vancouver as well...beautiful place. I also like the fact that you're only a not-too-far drive away from Whistler...in the winter I'd never get anything done, and I'd be broke, especially after their prices shot up when word got out that they were hosting the olympics...
