I really like anything by Eric Prydz, like Ironmen and Shadows, or his remixes of Can't Remember or 1983. Anyone know any more good house producers for a newbie?

Here ya go...some of them are Progressive as well:

Jay Lumen
Raw Shape
Antoine Claramaran
Paolo Mojo
Joey Negro
Tiga
Miguel Migs
Coburn
Chris Lake
Rowan Blades
Funkagenda
Shlomi Aber
Eddie Amador
Harry Peat
Robbie Rivera
Chris Kaeser
Haji & Emmanuel

And get sets by the following DJs:

Desyn Masiello
Rowan Blades
Paolo Mojo
Luke Fair

They play some of the best funky, and progressive house

I like both a lot, although I end up buying new House much more often than new Trance. I end up playing mostly 99-early 2000s Trance, with a bit of Psy and early 90s stuff mixed in.

I like that I can fit just about any moood with a House track. I can get really loungy or really peak-time funky, with lots of room in-between. With Trance I don't see that variety. Sure, there's the beach-side Trance, and the Hard Trance at the other end, but it just seems harder to play on moods with Trance, especially when all of the songs are vying for the title of "biggest, most epic breakdown EVAR!"

I've always wondered what is it that you do on your free time.
When you're not trolling, that is...

I think what a lot of you guys don't understand is outside of trance fans and people on this website there are a whole wack of people who just listen to house and never listened to trance or every cared about it. They just always liked house.

The same thing happens with the DnB scene too. They'll know everything about Dieselboy and Roni Size, but ask them about Trance and they go "Paul Van who?"

I'm all for variety. There's no law that says you only have to have one genre playing at any given night, or that you only can spin one genre during a set...

How was that trolling? Don't you think your claim was at all absurd?
