oh that. Any media saying otherwise ?
The contaminated areas arent so desolated as they are portrayed. Farming / food growing still goes on, despite the danger to health. People are still dying of radiation related deaths. More children are still born deformed because of Chernobyl radiation.

If this is moved to the PDD, I shall then post some comprehensive and interesting information and opinions on this. Otherwise, I'll pass. The truth is far from what the media is telling you.
even though this isnt in the PDD you should still feel free to post it in here. outside of PDD doesnt mean that its all idiots talking about things such as this.

there were some things i was reading and also some things i have seen recently that showed a large group of people still living in the contaminated area. they werent specific how far into the exclusion zone they were but it was obvious there was life.

also the areas in which new growth from the farming, the contamination has slowly decreased. its no substitute for bringing in new dirt and soil but it sure helps with lowering the contamination levels.

that's kind of a neat comparison. interestingly enough, the average hurricane puts out like 1,500,000,000,000 watts —or fully half of the global electrical output.

Funny that "to ax" was an accepted literary variant of the word "ask" until c.1600... now people think it's bad English. Heh.
