This argument will never cease, FL is viewed as an inferior product. In reality its like the old saying, "its not what u got but how you use it!" I toyed around with Fruity loops along time ago and never took it seriously, until about 4 months ago i really started diving into it and I'm completely happy with the works ive done so far. Im still learning something new and trust me i spend hours toying with all the different things it has. I think the name "Fruity" is what makes people think its a joke and an inferior product. Another producer added to the list Maor Levi.

I agree with you on that.
I think to say that Fruity is a Ford whilst Cubase is a Lotus is not really a working theory.

The only thing I miss from Fruity Loops is true Sidechain compression. But even there you find people have made some pretty cool pluggins to compensate for that so it's not really an issue.

If anything I would say that Logic and Cubase are over priced.

Cheers

The samples that come packed with FL are what give it a cheesy impression to me. too many crappy vocal samples like "ACTIVATE!" and "WE HAVE A 138 IN PROGRESS!" (O no a 138!)

lol

Hmmmm... actually looked up Police scanner codes and a 138 doesn't exist, but the closest I could find was a 10-48 which is a code for 10-48 Not available for assignment/out for coffee or whatever. Doesn't exactly strike fear in to mortal man does it?

Heaven forbid that you have a 22500...
