Tbh, the Berlin Mix is top notch, sounds a lot like his older stuff.
Have heard the other mixes, but not really my thing.
I have to agree. The Berlin mix is the first interesting thing with his name on it since the Out There and Back album. Although Alex M.O.R.P.H is co-credited for that version so not sure who actaully was responsible for making it good.
The version I heard in the video was aboslutely horrendous and the video it self was incredibly crappy.
However, he has been on this path for several years now so it's not entirely suprising.

it's so painfull to follow that path.. each time you load a mix into WinAMP and hope it's gonna be fucking banging trancy stuff a la Zurich, Energy, or at least Politics of Dancing 2 stuff but you get this big fucking disappointing electro-synth

from interviews it is quite clear that paul van dyk thinks this is his greatest work ever... a
kind of like how ronald mcdonald thinks that mcdonald's is the mark of a perfect childhood, or a sack of big macs is hip party food
as for pvd
i'm lovin it

Tbh, I don't see what the fuss is all about. This track reminds me a lot of Everything and Sweet Things from the Elements of Life album (production-wise it's even better) and I can't remember seeing that amount of complaining about those two.
Sure, it's another step backwards for PvD - if that was even possible, but there's no need to go on a mass slating rampage.

I think this track is horrific, but a lot of stuff off his new album is excellent.
Just judge the music. Yeah admittedly he looks like a prik and its nearly as bad as some of Armins posers But does it really bother you!
Wasn't he the guy that once said that Iah van dhal, and dj sammy were the responsibles of making trance music a genre full of shit music (like is said on a ta's sig)?
So... what is this new PvD album but pop music?
And as pop music that it is, it shouldn't be called trance... but pehaps PvD now produces Pop... (which is quite reasonable though: it provides musical experiences with hot chicks, and perhaps, hot chick fans... who wouldn't want to?)
