Makes me think of a radio contest they had around here at the local mall where you had to drink a glass of water every hour or something and the person could hold out without peeing for the longest won tickets or money or something. I would have to say everyone who participated was a complete idiot.

if you do not pee for a long time, it will back up into your ureters (sp-the tubes that connect your kidneys and bladder) and ultimately give you a gnarley kidney/urinary tract infection.

Long term piss holding (like 4 or 8 hours) is bad I believe, possibly kidney/bladder/prostate damage, but short term clenching can strengthen your PC Muscles (link) and give you enhanced orgasms.

However, you don't need to hold in piss for that; all you need to do is sit at your desk all day clenching.
