Anyone who went as spectator, please give us a little run down of the highlights... |
Didn't go as a spectator, but can still give you a run down
Had a really good time! Met some fantastic people and heard some unforgettable music!
Dealing with the heat was a massive endurance test but it was nothing that the Mighty Goulburn could not fix in the end. It was all part of the experience
During my daytime set (and Ben's set which was just before mine), the temperature inside the DJ hut was well over 45 degrees. Few people attempted dancing here and there, but it fell awesome just to be playing to hundreds of campers scattered around the surrounding bushland, all trying to survive the heat.
The crew did an amazing job with the setup and deco! Visuals at nighttime were insane... a lot of time was spent getting all the detail done over such a massive area.
We arrived on Sunday evening and I spent most of Sunday night/Monday morning on the main floor listening to some quality psytrance. Nighttime sound was deep and driving which as great, and in the morning it opened up to a more traditional style of psy.
Monday night was my favorite though. After a long afternoon session in the Goulburn (swimming past just about every artist on the lineup lol) we joined hundreds of other people and hit the main floor again, and heard some insane deep driving psy prior to midnight. Tribal Tul was very inspiring. After the NY countdown, Ozzy jumped on and these two sets very probably the highlight of the whole event for me. Ozzy really knows how to keep the energy at the max.
Sleep/heat depravation kicked in for me shortly after midnight though, so I finally crashed back at the camp, but could easily still hear sets of Error Corrective, Kindzdaza and 40% and other sets, all making me question my decision to retire for the night.
We left early Tuesday morning. Overall, had such a great time, despite the almost lethal heat.
This was my first Tribeadelic Gathering, and I was very pleasantly surprised at the number of people there and the sheer size of the occupied area (same location where some of the previous Earthcores were held by the Goulburn River).
Well done Tribeadelic!!
