overall, it was a great night.
ended up hanging out on skybar for the first part of the night and having some redbulls and martinis before armin's performance, and ended up meeting some really cool ppl (who are normally desperately lacking in the skybar scene). on the way down to armin, spent a little bit of time in main room, which was thumping and didn't find the sound was too bad eariler in the night.
the room that really needed a sound tech was KH during armin's set. holy christ...it seemed like every time i looked up ppl were plugging their ears because the bass was so overbearing. eventually my friends and i broke down and started asking the bouncers for earplugs, and it was only then that i really started to enjoy the music. i'm surprised the sound wasn't better in KH considering the great thing about trance is the layers and not just the huge bassline, but alot of finer points in the music were completly lost. whatever was wrong seemed to be fixed by sanders set, which although it wasn't anything special, still made me really really happy. His sound is always so fresh, and certainly defines my perfect clubing experience, even if he didn't play "king of my castle" 
lots of redbull, lots of room to dance, lots of tuneage. definitely one of my best guv nights. i left elated.
