I work Monday so it's gonna be tricky, I'll have to execute a perfect disco nap beforehand. Guess the best plan is to get barely any sleep Saturday night and pass out real early Sunday evening, and hope it rides me out til 3am, at which point I can wake up and drink a litre of coffee and head to Stereo. Alternatively, sleeping pills Sunday evening might do the trick.

I had a blast. I was the first person there and because I drove up from Seattle and had nothing better to do, I waited at the door for five minutes before it opened. One of the bouncers actually came up to me and said, "Hey, you were here in December for Sasha, huh?" It was also nice to meet a couple of TAs. I know I met xtr3m, who asked if I was on TA; how the hell could you tell? And I think I met someone else, but I'm not sure. He and I were up at the very front on the far right the entire night.
All in all, I thought it was an incredible set. I figured it would've been a set like the one at Plush where he played more on the soft side, because Celebrities is so small. I was wrong, he banged the fuck out of the club and they loved it. Hell, the last portion of it before the encore was incredibly reminiscent of the Delta Heavy days of banging Progressive House, and he even threw in a couple of classics from pre '02. His mixing and the way he built his set were both spot on. A much better night than at Plush last year, in my opinion.

It's not a female. The full piece of the vocals is from a track called I Get Deep by Roland Clark. It goes on to say "They know what is what but they don't know what is what they just strut, what the fuck?" which Fatboy Slim sampled in Star 69, but the tune that Digweed played obviously didn't have that sample. And the remix of Crocodile was by Oliver Huntemann, and is shit (in my opinion).
Looking back through the videos I took, most of the crowd on the main floor had their hands in the air and were loving it. And Digweed has never been one to interact with the crowd. He rarely ever does anything, and I don't think it should be a requirement for a DJ to put on a show. But that's just me. |

Once I took a piss in front of everybody at Stereo. Put the garbage under the mixer, and did it right there while people were dancing and screaming. people thought I was playing with the mixer but I was playing with my zizi. |
