I'm not sure what it is that you're trying to do. Do you want to sync the tempo of FL Studio to CDJs so that you can use plugins and sequences from FL while you have other tracks playing, or what? You don't need CDJs or turntables to make music or to do a live electronic act. If you want to perform live, buying a hardware synth could be useful, both from a reliability standpoint and just for the "presence" (people generally want to see something more than a PC up there), but a hardware synth isn't required to make good music. |
What I am trying to do at this point since all of my other questions have been answered is just make music with similar styling and undertones to DJ Joop. All that equipment I was talking about earlier is just a "wishlist" of things that I will be getting in the future(far far future).
I am 24 years old. I can play the piano. I have never touched a turntable although When I go to the clubs I usually stand as close to the DJ as possible so I can see what he's doing.
I can beatmatch ok, I need practice. Mainly I just want to "create" the sounds at this point so I can put them on CD and "spin" them later.
I am going to be making this music purely for my own appreciation not to spin at parties or get a record deal or anything like that. Purely pleasure. The quick explanation would be that I would like to create music that causes that 'E' flashback for most of the song.
My philosophy as of late is : If music can make you feel happy or sad or energetic, why can't it make you feel high, without the obvious combination of MDMA in the equation? For years scientists have been researching effects of sound waves on the human body, some good, some bad. Some of these tests have proven rather interesting, others, not so much(i.e. brown noise)
I am completely confident that these elusive frequencies exist and I would like to start my own "experiment". Since every person is different, things like music will effect them in different ways. My "experiment" will purely be for my interpretations. Does anyone else agree with me here?
Do you think that with the right type of music one could remove the drug aspect of the equation and still achieve the same mental/physical state?
Any input good ~or~ bad will be appreciated.
besides fruity loops and acid pro what are some other PC programs I could use to get started?
Will I need to find additional content for sound effects or will FL be sufficient for a beginner?
Also, should I be posting in a different forum for these questions?
Here is another topic of discussion...What got you hooked on trance? Yes drugs is and acceptable answer but a deeper response would probably be more productive for all of us.
Apologies for the length of my posts. Once I get going it's hard to stop...
