it always seems like its gonna be amazing, cause shit, pears are amazing! but then regardless of what it is, its just worse than plain whatever (vodka, tea, etc)

the one notable exception being jelly belly's juicy pear flavor

Lol Jelly Belly! I haven't had those in ages! I used to give my friends the chili flavoured ones and say it was strawberry haha.

Fruit flavoured stuff is hardly ever flavoured by fruit extracts. Not only is that time consuming and costly, but the yield you get is minimal. It's all chemicals and pear is pretty hard to replicate, yet they still persist on using it.

Banana on the other hand is amazingly easy to replicate. I made it in Chem and it smelled 100% like a Banana, every time. Tasted like it too.
