In all EDM Clubs in Germany there is no problem with elegant sneakers. How about Webster Hall?

I read @ clubzone.com about Webster Hall:

"Dress Code - Dress to impress - no athletic wear, no sneakers, no hats, no doo rags, no boots (including Timberland); the dress code is strictly enforced."

Is it that strictly? I took no other shoes than my adidas & k-swiss sneakers with me ...
