I think that's a slight misunderstanding.
If I enjoy reading 100+ different blogs, do I have to go to 100 different sites to read them each day? I guess I could, but wouldn't that consume much more time than to have a news aggregator pull all that information down into one place for me? The same can be applied with media shows. Sure, I can manually pull down all the shows I like to watch and listen to. But why not make it easier and save myself some time so I can watch/listen without wasting extra time using old and conventional (static) methods?
There are many things in my digital life that are important to me. Just because I automate the process of collecting that data doesn't mean I'm not interested. 
Ninja edit: Now that I re-read, if you mean not making time by listening to an abbreviated version of ASOT, then sure, I agree. I'm not even sure if I will subscribe to this feed. Probably not, since I rarely listen to that show anymore, but I thought I'd share the info for those who weren't aware.
