It's interesting you say that, because as I listened to these all I could think is "Well, they just made 'Heaven Scent' again and made it sound relevant to contemporary sounds."

That's essentially why I found it such a bore - well worn territory.

I hate to say it as such a longtime Bedrock fan, but that's my impression, too. It's got everything it should have: cavernous stereo, lush production, attention to detail, flawless arrangement. I really want to feel it. But something just isn't there.

It also feels a sluggish 15bpm slower than anything Digweed and Muir produced in the 90s, but that's to be expected in today's plodding tempo. I thought Santiago was as slow, too, but it worked the tempo really well.

Sasha played it on a Funktion One as well. Absolutely fantastic, the bass line is soooo massive.

The Breakdown at 18 mins is unspeakable. So many little FX you barely notice on home speakers come alive and the kick drum is just rib crushing when it kicks back

One of the best clubbing moments of my life hearing it. Easily.

Tell me about it...we didn't start getting the good DJs here up until a year and a half. Been on a good run lately, though...16 Bit Lolitas, Hernan Cattaneo, Loco Dice & John Digweed all in about 2 months frame
