there all quarinteened by norton, but the W32.HLLW.Bymer virus has actually infected my windows winnit file, so even tho it is quarinteened, its still active when i open up my comp. Arghh my comp is in such a state.

well i again want to point out that when you have a hard drive you should partition a small amount for windows and nothing else..

cuz in that case, you could just reformat right now easily and put your os back on, and not have to worry about it being quarantined

partitioning:

with any MS 16bit OS (Dos/ Win9x/ Me) use 'fdisk'

with any MS 32bit Os (Win 2K, XP) usually when reinstalling you can partition your HDD, or you can use the Disk-Management console to partition new HDD's. To do that right click on 'My Computer' -> Management -> Disk Management
