you all realize this probably won't happen right? doesn't anyone wonder why it took 5+ years for Crobar LA to open?

Pacha Ibiza is the number one club in the world and thats not my opinion its the opinion of many clubbers in the world and its not because its in Ibiza its just they way they run things the talents they bring and their classy staff... Lets put it this way if they can have a third of the things that made them succesful in Ibiza here they would kick any clubs ass. I am sure we will al bitch but keep in mind if they build a good club with good trendy crowd we will all go every dam week. In one nights that I was there guess who was spinning.... David Guetta and Bob sinclar yessss you read that right....

Guetta and Sinclair are playing at Giant/Vanguard next month
well the are only for Guetta
the FMIF parties at Pacha are the most crowded of all the nites that have there (even more so than Pure Pacha and Subliminal)...we saw Guetta along with 2 of the Swedish House Mafia there Labor Day weekend. good stuff. great nite. I actually discussed with Giant the summer of 2006 trying to do a FMIF night here but it was a bit out of my league to pull that off.

competition means more supply and more supply translates to less demand per club and ergo, cheaper prices or better DJs...so welcome Pacha or whoever club wants to go to LA as it will be the consumers that will always win at the end of the day!
In what way is this formula true. LA cannot support another mega club. Circus has already been crippled by what has happened at vanguard. I dont think this is happening anyway, just like crobar was supposed to already be going. The more clubs, the more watered down the scene will be. I.E. imagine how concentrated the party would be every saturda if there was only ONE super club in hollywood. This would mean with a bunch of them it would have the opposite effect, everybody would be scattered all over town. There just isnt enough clubbers in this town to support all of it

as Crobar is going to be 1/2 the size of vanguard and 1/3 the size of avalon, i believe they will be going more after the Hollywood crowd than having big dance djs. i think they will not have a lot of success booking big djs as all they have left is Crobar Chicago right now so the pull they used to have when Miami and NYC were in place is gone
i imagine the booking agents will defer to Avaland and Giant for the most part due to their longivity in the market as well as the ability of Spundae and Giant to package multiple West Coast dates per weekend for a dj...maybe a couple of names here and there but overall we'll still be at the same clubs we always go to.

Would be nice to get Pacha (or any new club) in LA if Circus is really closing at the end of the year but I'm not holding my breath. Last Saturday some Circus employees were saying the place is gonna close this year after all so who knows what's really gonna happen
