Out of the box on my XP laptop, it was skipping around a lot and I had to set the latency very high. As soon as I did the "nemonic" XP tweaks, I had no more problems there. Make sure your latency on the Connectiv is as low as it will go. Also, make sure you pre-analyze your tracks before you play them for the first time. Playing a track as its being analyzed for the first time is asking for trouble.
Point of all this is, there are a few basically one-time edits/tweaks you have to make to your system, and most of the problems people are bringing up will go away. Remember, this is v 1.05 only and it's only been out for about a year. The next few updates, I believe, are going to address the majority of the remaining issues that people have with the software. The only way the software will improve is if people support it. I'd hate for people to read this thread with the ignorant comments that some people have made and decide not to buy it. As it is, it's more than capable as a DVS alone, with added features no less, for use at home OR IN THE CLUB! The "it's not the club standard" argument doesn't hold water with me because Torq is so new to the market.

Thanks for the reply. If you wouldn't mind elaborating on and specifying each of the tweaks you made, I'd have a much better idea of what you're talking about. At this point, all I understand is that you fucked with the latency in Torq, first setting it high and then setting it as low as it could go. Aside from messing with the latency, which everyone seems to know must be done, I dunno what other tweaks you're on about.
Cheers.
