Oh, life is bigger ,It's bigger than you,And you are not me,The lengths that I will go to, The distance in your eyes ,Oh no, I've said too much, I set it up

That's me in the corner, That's me in the spotlight, I'm Losing my religion, Trying to keep up with you ,And I don't know if I can do it, Oh no, I've said too much,I haven't said enough, I thought that I heard you laughing, I thought that I heard you sing, I think I thought I saw you try.

But that was just a dream, That was just a dream, But that was just a dream, Try, cry, why try? That was just a dream ,Just a dream, just a dream, Dream

Any fool would be able to work out that
1. The room was waaayyy to big for a vip room
2. A vip pass was required to obtain entry
3. Said vip passes are called that for a reason.....they arent just given out willy nilly! One could safely assume that there was a limited amount of passes. Also that not everyone would have a contact to get one.
4. Most people would stay in the main room to see the internationals that come out once in a blue moon, rather than go to the vip room to see locals that they could see fairly regularly.
5. If you actually attended the event, you would have experienced the mad crush of ppl trying to push/shove their way up the stairs to get out of the arena.Getting the elbows out wasnt uncommon for the ruder punters!Getting from the dancefloor,up the stairs and out of the arena took a lengthy period of time, and was the same on the way back.It was an absolute gauntlet, every man for himself.
So you could conclude from all this that it was best to just stay in the main arena to avoid wasting precious party time schlepping up and down the stairs, and avoid possibly getting injured in the push and shove!
Mike Nichol is a talented dj that draws quite a crowd when there isnt big name internationals playing at the exact same time.Seems to me that some ppl dont do too well with other ppls success.Mike has worked hard to get where he is,its not like he has no skill and has just had it handed to him on a plate!
So lets not downplay the effort and hard work it takes to get recognition in the Melbourne dance music scene.Nuff said!

Why thank you Chrisg *takes sweeping bow*.I was feeling a little sarcastic and get sick of ppl who trash talk quality djs. These know it all, know nothings have no idea what it takes to get ppl to come and see you play when ur new and dont have a following/reputation.The Melb scene is pretty fickle. Most ppl dont really care much about or know much about the music..And want to go and see djs they know.Ive always made a point of supporting the local up and coming talent. And making sure I tell everyone about it to help get the dj a following. So props to all the guys/girls that are passionate about their craft and slogg away for a long time with no recognition coz they have their eye on the prize...getting heard and possibly recorded.
